Introduction: Established methods for monitoring specific molecules in the living body, such as continuous glucose monitor, rely on enzymatic or chemical reactivity of their targets, and thus are not generalizable to arbitrary new targets. For this reason, only a handful metabolites neurotransmitters, no hormones protein biomarkers, can currently be measured vivo1.
